The internet has quickly developed into a tool for the consumption and publication of massive amounts of information. While information design has been around longer than the internet, the massive network of information it provides has provided a rich source of data and a means for the publication of its visual representation. While it is traditionally used as a compliment to written information in the publication of editorial information in sources such as magazines, newspapers and periodicals, the internet has provided new means of data collection and presentation which has increased the range and amount of information design projects. The ability to collect live data and dynamically display it on the internet to a varied audience spanning the entire world has led to the development of new interactive applications used to present information and a whole new medium for information designers.More Information:
