Debbie Millman
Debbie Millman is a designer, artist, painter, writer and author who is the president of the design department of Sterling Brands. She has worked in the design industry for over 25 years and has been with Sterling for more than 15. While at Sterling, she has overseen the global redesigns of international brands including Pepsi, Cambell's, Colgate, Nestle and Hasbro. She is also the current president of AIGA.
Among these duties she is also a writer for Brand New, as well as the chair of the Masters in Branding Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. For several years, starting in 2005, she hosted a design related podcast called Design Matters where she sat down with many famous designers and artists to discuss the industry and culture in which they produced their work, it quickly became very popular. She has published three books including How to Think Like a Great Graphic Designer and The Essential Principles of Graphic Design.
